Atom Rocker Plate

Having owned a Wattbike Atom for 6 months or so, like so many, I was struggling with comfort for any rides lasting much more than half an hour. A number of other Wattbikers praised the difference that a Rocker Plate made. The one that stood out amongst the various comments was the Omnirocker. I had tried a rival brand at a cycle show a year earlier and must admit it just felt weird. So I was a bit unsure wether this was the way to go. But after a lot of research, e-mails to fellow Wattbikers and manufacturers I decided to bite the bullet and go for the Omnirocker. I believe the Omnirorocker is the only one with a purpose built model for the Wattbike Atom. After several e-mails and very patient replies from Martin I placed the order. Service and delivery were very prompt and trouble-free. Set-up couldn't have been easier. And yes it is an absolute game changer. The bike movement is not dramatic but subtle like on the road and now I comfortably spend an hour or more on my training rides. My only regret is that I didn't get it sooner. Well worth the investment.

This rocker plate makes zwift rides so much more comfortable. I’ve got used to riding on it almost immediately, just needed to put a few extra pumps of air in and it just feels perfect to ride on.

Secondly, the quality of the rocker plate is amazing. I have had it for three weeks now and really starting to feel a good rhythm with it. I have been very impressed from start to finish. High-quality product that provides a real-life experience (sideways/front-to-back) motion that makes indoor riding a lot more comfortable. Martin installed it himself at my house and answered a lot of questions. The side-to-side rocking motion was too much for me (seriously weak core), so I dampened it. Martin also gave me additional tips. I highly recommend this product for those planning to spend long hours or get more comfortable on the in-door bike.

I have waited a few weeks before writing this review to give myself enough time to appreciate the Omnirocker. Martin is exceptionally responsive in terms of keeping you updated on the progress and estimated delivery of your order. On arrival the product was that well packaged that I think it took longer to unpack than to set up my Atom on it! The set up was very easy and the instructions clear to follow. The first thing that struck me on removing from the box was the quality of the design and build. The Atom rocker plate has a small foot print and looks fantastic. But the most important point is how it changes the ride experience. I really like how my Atom feels on the rocker and I now find myself leaning into corners on Zwift in the same way I would on the road. I would say for me the ride experience is a lot more comfortable and far more realistic. Overall I am very happy with the product and level of service, and I am confident that if I encountered any questions then Martin would be quick to respond with help and advice.
